Inside the dense program of Gualdo Tadino’s Sport White Night 2013 there will be inaugurated an exhibition of art in which the scowl, the movement, the postures, the competitiveness of the athletes are fixed to the canvas with the power of carrying the one who looks inside the competitions, participating of man’s great show who pushes his materiality over each limit.

The exhibition "The colors of the sport" by Giuseppe (pippo) Borrello, by Olimpia Production and Nostos Theatre, treated by Olimpia Urbani and Cecilia Pasquarelli, with the defence of the Municipality of Gualdo Tadino and the collaboration of the Museum Pole, will be visitable continuous until 23.00 p.m., like also the Church of Saint Francis who will remain exceptionally open at night in occasion of sport white night.

Inside the works exhibited at Cajani Home emerge sculptural and agile figures of sporting, but not only: there is also a particular attention for the landscape, for example in the work “The divers” who agile and elegant like dolphins, throw themselves into the wonder of the sea of Capri, or into the scenographic “Relay race” where two women compete on the run, while the city in distance seems to watch over their tension. Almost statuesque the champion of martial art in position between columns and arches, while between white and pink snow the main characters of “Skiing” and “Alpine skiing“ dancing.

The great love emerges also for the animals when they go down in lists the horses, which in the Borrello painting they seem made by wind, bringing back us mentally to the Olympics of Ancient Greece, where sporting disciplines had some things of sacred one. The winners were receiving as prize an olive crown and the divinity were attending moved and admired by such deeds. Singular also the technique that avails itself of bronze foils, silver and gold imitation, colour in latex, of chalks and of an operation of “frottage“ that makes shine through the below surface.
